As a young boy Robert Swan watched a movie about Sir Robert Falcon Scott. More than 100 years ago, the renowned British explorer was beaten to the South Pole by Roald Amundsen a Norwegian explorer.
On his return from the South Pole, Swan recognized he had a voice and a platform and that he would use this tool to educate and inspire young people around the world about preserving Antarctica. Over the next 30 years Robert Swan would create many programs to engage individuals, corporations and industry to join his mission, make a difference and protect and preserve Antarctica.
34 expeditions, 3000 participants, over 2 million followers, more than 2,500 lectures and presentations, 102 countries visited, 150,000 by yacht to visit young people, lives changed…immeasurably.
